KAG is focused on growing strategically and enhancing customer service, by seeking out new markets that could benefit from KAG services and striving to strengthen our footprint in markets we already serve. We achieved both of these initiatives in two recent acquisitions.
In May, KAG acquired the gasoline assets of Texas-based Mission Petroleum Carriers, Inc., enabling us to expand capacity in the Texas areas we already serve, while also providing an opportunity to serve new markets in this exciting and growing region. Through the acquisition, we also added terminal/satellite locations in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Arlington, Corpus Christi, Harlingen and Waco.
KAG also acquired Schuh Transport, Inc., a Wisconsin-based, family-owned company specializing in the bulk transport of petroleum and chemical products. Schuh will help support our Klemm Tank Lines customers, primarily in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area.
“We are extremely excited about KAG’s expansion in the Texas fuels-transportation market through the addition of Mission’s gasoline assets,” said Rebecca White, KAG’s vice president of Corporate Development. “And the Schuh team is a great addition to our Klemm operations. We continue to seek other growth opportunities to further increase our capacity and improve our already outstanding services to customers.”
