Kenan Advantage Group Wins Awards
CANTON, OH, June 11, 2007 – Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) today announced receiving awards from its customers in recognition of the company’s outstanding performance. On behalf of KAG and its subsidiaries, Dennis Nash, President and CEO of KAG, recently accepted awards from ARCO (owned by BP West Coast Products) and Chevron.
Al Bonacci, BP’s National Transport Coordinator, presented Mr. Nash with the 2006 “BP Gold Award” for the company’s outstanding safety performance during the year. The award was presented at BP’s annual Carrier Conference on May 23, 2007, in Hilton Head, SC. On May 24, 2007, Chevron’s General Manager of Supply and Operations, George Wall, also presented Mr. Nash with the 2006 “Most Reliable Carrier Award” while at a dinner recognition in Napa Valley, CA. The award represents the most prestigious carrier award from Chevron in North America. Both awards were based on exceptional performance provided by KAG West, a highway subsidiary of KAG located in Sacramento, CA.
Earlier this year, the company also received awards from and Owens Corning, The SWT Group and Shell. North Canton Transfer and Advantage Tank Lines, KAG subsidiaries servicing the Midwestern U.S., received the 2006 “Region Carrier of the Year” award from Owens Corning for exceptional service to their operating facilities. Advantage Tank Lines received the “Outstanding Supplier Achievement Award” from the SWT Group for their ability to provide dependable service in a time sensitive manner in 2006. KAG West also received the Shell 2006 “Carrier of the Year – Large Division” award for the hard work and dedication of KAG West’s Northern California Operations.
Commenting on the awards, Mr. Nash said, “Providing fuel transportation services safely, on time and without incidence is what it’s all about in our industry. Being recognized by our customers for exceptional service and performance is extremely gratifying for our organization.”
