Products Customers relying on KAG as their industrial gas carrier in the past had two options: Cryogenic Transportation (CTI) and Jack B. Kelley. CTI is a leader in transporting industrial gases, with routes that cover the country coast to coast. Jack B. Kelley also provides national coverage, transporting nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, argon, helium, carbon dioxide and liquefied natural gas. Those two companies are now coming together as KAG Merchant Gas.
The new organization will be the largest cryogenic carrier serving the industrial gas business in North America. For customers, the merger will simplify logistics decisions. The merger will also benefit customers in bringing together the best features and practices of both organizations, plus the capabilities of KAG’s industry-leading technology and logistics expertise.
“What won’t change is the level of service and expertise our customers have come to expect from CTI and Jack B. Kelley,” says Vern Ingham, executive vice president of KAG Merchant Gas. “Industrial gas transportation is a different animal from other tank operations, requiring special skills and knowledge. Our customers will continue to deal with the same industry professionals they always have, people they know and who know the business.”
Ingham said that, although customers will be working with a larger company than in the past, they can expect the same small-company approach when dealing with KAG Merchant Gas.
“This is a niche business that requires an especially high level of customer service,” said Ingham. “Our customers received that service when they were working with CTI and Jack B. Kelley, and they can expect to continue receiving it in the future from KAG Merchant Gas.”
