KAG Food Products has a new pair of hands on the wheel with the arrival of Tyler Coventry, who recently became the division’s Executive Vice President. He joined KAG in October 2018 and will be responsible for leading the efforts to further strengthen and grow our food operations.
“Food and fuel are two things everyone must have,” explains Coventry. “It’s very exciting to join a company that plays such an important role in both of those markets, and especially exciting for me to be part of the KAG Food Products team.”
Coventry says this is an amazing time to be part of the food logistics’ industry. He says there are new opportunities on the horizon with consumers’ ever-changing diets and more specialized products resulting in a wider range of products available to consumers. But there are potential challenges as well with new regulations related to the trucking industry in general, and food and food safety in particular.
“All of these changes could affect our shippers,” Coventry says. “With our unrivaled network, the largest tank fleet in the country and the best dedicated team of people in the industry, we are in a great position to expand our role and lead in the food transportation industry.”
Before joining KAG, Coventry built his industry knowledge and experience in several senior transportation and logistics-related management roles with Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). His experience at ADM, one of the world’s largest agricultural processors and food ingredient providers, will be especially valuable in his new KAG role. Prior to ADM, he held management positions with Buske Logistics 3PL and Ford Motor Company/Penske Logistics 3PL. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL, and will be based in Jacksonville, IL.
